Bring lost window to main monitor (Win 7)

Q. I've unplugged one of my monitors and now the new application windows that open are not visible

A. There are several ways to do it, the easiest is the following:

1. Select the application window by clicking on it in the taskbar

2. Hit "Alt + Space". This will open a menu on the missing window, however, you will not see it

3. Press "m" on your keyboard to select "Move" option. The keyboard cursor will change (see image below):

4. Here's the tricky part - you have to use your keyboard arrow keys to bring the screen back to your desktop (either left arrow key or right arrow keys). You have to know approximately where the window was - if you go in the wrong direction you'll move the window further from your desktop.

While holding shift down, right click the application in the taskbar. The select maximize. The application is then maximized on the monitor that is available.

The tricky part is that if you then click the restore button (next to the "X"), then it will disappear to the monitor that is not connected. However if you drag the window (click and hold the top of the window), it will start restoring and on the monitor that is till turned on.
